racist?

I’m a euro-mutt.

Call me “Cracker”, “Honkey”, or “Whitey” and it’s socially acceptable.

…But if I called you “Kike”, “nigga”, “rag head”,”Towelhead”, “WOP”, “Camel Jockey”, “Gook”, “sand nigga”, “slant eyes” or “chink” you’d call me a racist.

There is United Negro College Fund……Black History Month. …….. the NAACP…… BET, Miss Black America.

But -
-If we had WET(White Entertainment Television) …we’d be racist.

-If we had a White Pride Day… we’d be called racist.

-If we had white history month… we’d be racist.

-If we had an organization for only whites to “advance” our lives… we’d be racist.

-If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships…. we’d be racist.

In the Million Man March, participants believed they were marching for their race and rights. But, if Caucasians marched for their race and rights….they’d be called racist.

Did you know that some high school students decided to make a club for only the white students because the other ethnicities had them… they all got sent to court for being racist but the African-American, Latino, and Asia clubs were not even questioned.

You can be proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and are free to boldly announce it to the world. But if anyone would announce white pride, they’d be called racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

I loved Whoopie Goldberg’s comment: “I don’t believe in hyphenated names like ‘african-american’.  I’m American. To me, a hyphenated name means I’m not entitled to the full benefit of being American.”

How can hyphenating ethinic origin, and having special tv stations, magazines and special funding for “minorities” (which technically are the majority at this point) promote unity in this country?

Oh, and for the record, there are Caucasian Africans, so to assume “African Americans” are black is truly racist.

It’s time we get over the fixation of how much melanin a body has.   Morgan Freeman put it best, in his 60 Minutes interview.  How do we stop racism?  ”Stop talkin’ about it.”

PS:  Should I write one on sexism?  The same principle applies.
